An absolutely lovely person. I met Laly in 7th grade -- we were locker partners, and remained friendly, albeit at a long distance, often catching up only once a year. During a long drive from Florida to Iowa, my mother and I visited her in Athens, Georgia in about 2006. She worked at the Warnell School of Forestry at the University of Georgia. We shared a love of gardening and wildlife (only she was a lot better at it!) and in her last few years, despite all that she was going through, she worked really hard to remain positive. Honestly, I would not have been so strong. So while I'm glad she is out of pain, she is sorely missed. Rest well, Laly.

Oh no! What a loss. Best wishes to her family.
